Hyundai’s IONIQ 6 has been named as one of the three 2023 World Car Awards finalists. The vehicle has been named as a finalist in three different categories. One is the 2023 World Car of the Year, then is the 2023 World Electric Vehicle, and lastly it is the 2023 World Car Design of the Year.
Why Is The Hyundai IONIQ 6 So Popular?
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is based on the E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform). This is the same platform as the IONIQ 5, 2022’s World Car of the Year. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 has been well-received after its launch last year. It has also won many awards in the last few months. This includes the Saloon of the Year at the 2023 GQ car awards and Le Guide de l’auto’s New Car of the Year. Hyundai IONIQ 6 has also received a best-in-class selection in the large family car segment, along with a five-star safety rating.
What Is The World Car Awards?
The World Car Awards comprises 100 international jurors and is an annual event. These jurors are from 32 countries, and they test drive each of the eligible vehicles and cast their votes. The 2023 World Car award winners will be announced at the 2023 New York International Auto Show’s award ceremony scheduled for April 5th, 2023. This will be the 18th year of the partnership between the New York International Auto Show and the World Car of the Year.
